    • To maintain consistency, promote RYHA, and decrease confusion do not give your team an unauthorized name. Your team name is the sponsor of your team

    • No unauthorized pieces of the uniform should be worn by teams to include, breezer shells, socks, stickers, etc. There is a Rochester approved sticker that can be used
  4. Team Fees:
    • The maximum fee that can be charged families is $100 (does not include tournament fees)
  5. Travel Guidelines:
  6. Half board Use and Care:
  7. Team Goalie Practices:
    • TM - SQ Goalies should attend as many of the goalie sessions as possible. Recommended that they attend goalie practices vs team practices if they conflict
  8. Team Rosters:
    • In order for coaches to coach and players to play team rosters must be approved. Coaching certifications for all coaches must be completed for coach to be rostered.
  9. Parent Volunteers
    1. Managers – Make sure your managers see the 2022-2023 Manager’s Information document
      • Coaches please review this document yourself so you understand and can support the role of the manager.
    2. Pizza parent – Can be the manager as well. Coaches should help the manager find 1-2 volunteers per team for the pizza turn in day
      • Coaches cannot be the pizza parent or manager
    3. Locker room Attendants
      1. Coaches can be monitors
      2. One coach can monitor with more than one child in the room
      3. Two adults must monitor if there is only one child in the room
      4. If the monitor is a parent, they must be screened as a volunteer
  10. Practice Ice:
    • Varies by level. After all your scheduling, you may have ice to turn back in to Doug.  Please do that ASAP, don’t sit on ice you are not going to use.
    • Ice that isn’t turned back in is $185 of wasted money. Teams that do not turn in ice and do not use it may have the equivalent amount of your ice taken to pay for the losses
  11. Graham RYHA Classroom:
  12. Sponsorships:
  13. Team Website:
    • To setup your team's Sports Engine website, email the webmaster with the  names and emails of the people you would like to be able to manager your team's website.  Then have them look at the Sports Engine team management guide, and if they have any questions, they can contact the webmaster.
  14. Team Warm Ups:
    1. Approved colors only for all parts of the apparel - RHYA black, red, white, or grey
    2. Only the RYHA approved team sponsors name or logo can be added
    3. No made up team names can be on the uniform
    4. Ensure families understand that purchasing team apparel is optional
  15. Tournament Volunteers:
    • Your team’s home tournaments solely function on volunteers. Depending on the size, every family is expected to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours at each tournament.
    • Each tournament is set up to attempt to avoid having parents miss their own child’s game, but can't be guaranteed. It is vital that each family contribute equally. The brunt of the volunteering for tournaments shouldn't fall on a few families.
    • Coach will need to assist the managers to encourage all families to volunteer.
  16. Behavior – RYHA Operating Procedures
    1. Sportsmanship/Conduct Discipline
    2. Sportsmanship Committee
    3. Unit Coordinators
    4. Violations by Players, Parents, Coaches
    5. See Parent Code of Conduct document
    6. See Player Conduct Related Operating Procedures
  17. Referees:
    • Recruitment, development, and retention of referees at all levels is challenging. We continue to lose quality, experienced refs. Please keep this in mind during your interactions with them. Some of our referees, especially at the lower levels, are less experienced and are still learning so help us make it a positive experience for them
  18. Scheduling Referees for Home Games:
